Terms of Service
Effective date: August 21, 2026
Last updated: August 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://safouratherapy.ca/ (the “Website”) and your interactions with Safoura Manual Therapy.
By accessing the Website, submitting a contact or appointment form, or requesting services from us, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website or submit information through its forms.
Business name: SAFOURA MANUAL THERAPY
Business Identification Number (BIN): 1001543340
In these Terms, “Safoura Manual Therapy,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SAFOURA MANUAL THERAPY. “You” and “your” refer to the person accessing the Website or requesting services.
2. Scope of These Terms
These Terms apply to:
Use of the Website;
Contact and appointment requests;
General communications with Safoura Manual Therapy;
Payment, receipt, and direct-billing arrangements;
Website content and resources; and
Other services expressly made subject to these Terms.
Treatment may also be governed by separate intake forms, informed-consent documents, fee disclosures, cancellation policies, insurance authorizations, and other service-specific agreements.
If a service-specific agreement conflicts with these Terms, the service-specific agreement will govern the relevant treatment or transaction.
These Terms do not replace the informed consent required before treatment.
3. Website Information Is Not Medical Advice
Information provided on the Website is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to constitute:
Medical advice;
A medical diagnosis;
A treatment recommendation;
A substitute for an assessment by a qualified healthcare professional; or
Emergency medical assistance.
Reading information on the Website or submitting a form does not establish a practitioner-client relationship. Such a relationship is established only after an appointment is accepted and any required intake, assessment, and consent processes have been completed.
Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical care because of information found on this Website.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical assistance. The Website, email address, contact forms, and social-media accounts are not monitored continuously and should not be used for emergencies.
4. Treatment Services and Informed Consent
The availability and suitability of any service will be determined based on the circumstances, the practitioner’s scope of practice, and an appropriate assessment.
Before treatment, you may be asked to provide health information and complete applicable intake and consent documentation. You are responsible for providing information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
You should inform the practitioner about relevant:
Health conditions;
Injuries or recent surgeries;
Medications;
Allergies or sensitivities;
Pregnancy;
Changes in symptoms;
Previous treatments; and
Recommendations or restrictions provided by another healthcare professional.
You may ask questions about the proposed treatment, expected benefits, material risks, alternatives, and fees before consenting.
You may withdraw consent or request that treatment stop at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect charges for services already provided.
Safoura Manual Therapy may decline, modify, postpone, or discontinue a service where it is considered inappropriate, unsafe, outside the practitioner’s scope, or otherwise not in the client’s best interests.
5. No Guarantee of Results
Responses to manual therapy and wellness services vary between individuals. Factors such as health history, lifestyle, injury, adherence to recommendations, and other conditions may affect outcomes.
Safoura Manual Therapy does not guarantee:
A specific treatment outcome;
Complete relief from symptoms;
A particular number of sessions;
Insurance reimbursement; or
That a service will be appropriate for every person.
Any testimonials, reviews, case examples, or descriptions of previous client experiences represent individual experiences and do not guarantee that another person will achieve the same or similar results.
6. Appointment Requests
Submitting an appointment form does not create a confirmed appointment.
An appointment is confirmed only when Safoura Manual Therapy communicates confirmation to you. If you do not receive confirmation, you should contact us before attending the clinic.
You are responsible for:
Providing accurate contact information;
Reviewing appointment details;
Arriving on time;
Informing us promptly if you need to reschedule or cancel; and
Following reasonable preparation or safety instructions communicated before the appointment.
We may reschedule or cancel an appointment because of illness, emergency, safety concerns, severe weather, practitioner availability, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where this occurs, we will attempt to provide reasonable notice and arrange an alternative appointment.
7. Cancellations, Late Arrivals, and Missed Appointments
Clients should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when cancelling or rescheduling.
Any minimum notice period, late-cancellation fee, deposit requirement, or missed-appointment fee will be disclosed at or before the appointment is confirmed. We will not impose an undisclosed cancellation or no-show fee.
Late arrival may reduce the available treatment time to avoid delaying other clients. The full scheduled fee may still apply if this was disclosed as part of the booking arrangement.
Exceptions to a cancellation fee may be considered for emergencies or exceptional circumstances at our reasonable discretion. Nothing in this section limits rights provided under applicable consumer-protection law.
8. Fees and Payment
Applicable service fees will be communicated before treatment or made available at the clinic.
Unless another arrangement has been approved, payment is due at the time services are provided. We may accept payment through available payment methods communicated to you.
You are responsible for:
Reviewing the applicable fee before treatment;
Paying amounts not covered by insurance;
Providing accurate payment and insurance information; and
Informing us promptly about a suspected billing error.
Where legally permitted, outstanding amounts may be subject to reasonable collection activity after notice has been provided.
Prices and available services may change. A fee change will not retroactively affect a service already provided.
9. Insurance Receipts and Direct Billing
Insurance receipts and direct billing may be available for eligible services. Availability of direct billing does not guarantee that an insurer will approve or reimburse a claim.
Insurance coverage is determined exclusively by your insurer or benefit plan. You are responsible for confirming:
Whether the service is covered;
Eligibility requirements;
Annual or per-visit limits;
Referral or prescription requirements;
Deductibles and co-payments; and
Any practitioner-registration requirements imposed by the insurer.
You remain responsible for amounts that an insurer declines, reverses, reduces, or does not pay, unless the denial resulted from our billing error.
You authorize us to disclose information reasonably required to prepare a receipt, verify coverage, submit an authorized claim, respond to an insurer, or address a claim-related matter, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Receipts will only be issued for services actually provided. We will not alter treatment dates, service descriptions, amounts, practitioner information, or other receipt details for the purpose of obtaining insurance reimbursement.
Suspected insurance fraud or misuse may result in the cancellation of direct-billing privileges, discontinuation of services, notification to the insurer where legally permitted or required, and other appropriate action.
10. Refunds
Fees paid for completed treatment services are generally not refundable merely because the client did not achieve a particular outcome.
If you believe a billing error occurred, contact us promptly so the matter can be reviewed.
Refunds for deposits, prepaid services, packages, products, or cancelled appointments—if offered—will be handled according to the terms disclosed at the time of purchase and applicable consumer-protection law.
Nothing in these Terms restricts a refund, cancellation, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Minors and Substitute Decision-Makers
A parent, legal guardian, or other legally authorized substitute decision-maker may be required to consent to treatment for a minor or an individual who is unable to provide legally valid consent.
The involvement of a parent or guardian will depend on the client’s capacity, age, applicable law, and the nature of the service.
A parent, guardian, or representative who books an appointment on another person’s behalf confirms that they are authorized to provide the applicable information and make the request.
12. Appropriate Conduct
Clients and Website users must communicate and behave respectfully.
We may refuse, suspend, or discontinue services where a person:
Threatens, harasses, intimidates, or abuses the practitioner, staff, clients, or others;
Engages in discriminatory, sexual, violent, fraudulent, or illegal conduct;
Repeatedly fails to comply with reasonable clinic policies;
Creates a health or safety risk;
Misuses insurance or treatment receipts; or
Requests a service outside the practitioner’s scope or professional boundaries.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we will explain the reason for discontinuing non-emergency services.
13. Acceptable Use of the Website
You agree not to:
Use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
Submit false, misleading, or impersonated information;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, server, accounts, or data;
Introduce malware, viruses, malicious code, or automated attacks;
Interfere with Website security or operation;
Scrape, reproduce, or extract Website content through unauthorized automated means;
Use the Website to harass or harm another person;
Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights; or
Use Website content to misrepresent your relationship with Safoura Manual Therapy.
We may restrict access to the Website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
14. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website’s original content—including text, design, layout, graphics, branding, logos, photographs, videos, and downloadable materials—is owned by or licensed to Safoura Manual Therapy and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may view and print limited portions of the Website for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, republish, modify, distribute, sell, license, frame, reproduce, or commercially exploit Website content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Third-party names, trademarks, images, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
15. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms, booking tools, insurers, payment services, or other external resources.
Third-party services operate independently and may have separate terms and privacy policies. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement or guarantee.
Safoura Manual Therapy is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, content, or practices of third-party services. Your use of a third-party service is governed by your agreement with that provider.
16. Privacy
Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
By submitting information through the Website, you acknowledge that you have been given an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of these Terms is not consent to receive promotional marketing. Any marketing consent must be obtained separately where required.
17. Website Availability and Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Website available and its content accurate. However, the Website may occasionally contain errors, incomplete information, outdated information, or technical problems.
We may correct content, modify the Website, suspend features, or discontinue portions of the Website without notice.
We do not guarantee that:
The Website will always be available or uninterrupted;
All content will be error-free or current;
The Website will be free from every security threat; or
Every message or form submission will be received successfully.
You should contact us directly if appointment confirmation or other time-sensitive information has not been received.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Website and its general informational content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We disclaim warranties relating to the Website that are not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent those warranties may lawfully be excluded.
This disclaimer applies to the Website and general online content. It does not eliminate professional duties or statutory obligations applicable to treatment services.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safoura Manual Therapy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic loss arising solely from:
Inability to access the Website;
Reliance on general Website information instead of obtaining professional advice;
Website interruption or technical error;
Unauthorized third-party activity that could not reasonably have been prevented; or
Use of a third-party website or service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, breach of a non-excludable professional duty, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable consumer-protection, privacy, or other law.
20. Responsibility for Website Misuse
You are responsible for reasonably foreseeable losses caused by your unlawful use of the Website, your fraudulent submissions, your infringement of another person’s rights, or your intentional violation of these Terms.
This section does not make you responsible for losses caused by Safoura Manual Therapy or for matters for which liability cannot legally be transferred.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Subject to any mandatory consumer rights concerning jurisdiction, disputes relating to these Terms or the Website will be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Ontario.
Before beginning formal proceedings, the parties are encouraged to contact one another and make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the matter.
22. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
23. No Waiver
A failure or delay in enforcing a provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, Website, policies, technology, or legal obligations.
Updated Terms will be posted on the Website with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively from the date they are posted unless otherwise stated or required by law.
Material changes affecting an existing booking, prepaid service, or agreement will not be applied retroactively where doing so would be unlawful.
