About
Safoura Rafiee Sereshki
My name is Safoura Rafiee. I am a massage therapist living in Toronto, Ontario. I am originally from Iran, and I have more than 5 years of experience working with clients who have pain, muscle tension, stress, and body stiffness.
My journey with the body and healing started in a little different way. I first studied Engineering Technology Design and Industrial Drawing in 2014. At that time, I was focused on details, structure, and how small parts can affect the whole system. Later, I realized the human body is also like this. When one part is not working good, the whole body can feel it.
In 2019, I decided to follow my real interest and I started learning massage therapy seriously. I completed different certificates like Thai massage, sport massage, foot reflexology, cupping, hot stone, herbal compress massage, and more. I also became a licensed Masseur from the technical & vocational education organization of Iran in 2021.
During my work experience, I worked in sport complex spa, wellness spa, and also as self-employed massage therapist in Tehran. In these years I learned one very important thing: every person body is different. Some clients need deep work for chronic pain, some need relaxing therapy for stress, and some need support for sport recovery. I always try to listen carefully and choose the best technique for each client.
Now I work in Toronto in a cosmetic & pain clinic, where I provide customized relaxation, therapeutic, and deep tissue treatments. I always keep high standard of hygiene and comfort, and I assess the client condition before starting, specially for contraindications.
why osteopathy
Even if massage therapy helps a lot, I started to feel that sometimes the body needs more than muscle work only. Many clients come with pain that is not just in one place. For example, neck pain can be connected to posture, shoulder tension, jaw, or even stress. Also low back pain can be connected to hips, breathing patterns, or daily habits.
This is why I chose Osteopathy.
For me, Osteopathy is a profession that looks at the person as a whole, not only one symptom. It is a way to understand the body better, and to help it work in a more balanced way. I like that Osteopathy is hands-on, but also it needs clinical thinking and good communication. It is not only about doing one technique, it is about finding the real cause.
I also like that Osteopathy fits my personality. I am someone who enjoy details, structure, and also helping people in real life. I feel happy when a client understands what is happening in their body, and they feel more confident after the session.
My values
I believe healing is not only physical, it is also emotional. Many people carry stress in their body, and they just need someone to listen and understand them. I try to create a calm and safe space for my clients, and I always respect their comfort and boundaries.
I also believe learning never stop. I always try to stay updated and improve my skills, because health care is always growing and changing.
My goal
My goal is to keep developing my knowledge in manual therapy and Osteopathy, and help people move better, feel less pain, and enjoy their daily life more. I want to support clients not only for short relief, but also for long-term improvement.
